Takeshi Sudo studied viola da gamba with Wieland Kuijken, Philippe Pierlot and Rainer Zipperling in Royal Conservatory of The Hague. In The Hague, he studied also chamber music with many musicians such as Sebastian Marq, Ton Koopman, Barthold Kuijken. He performs and records with many ensembles and orchestras in Europe and Japan including "The Spirit of Gambo (Freek Borstlap)", "Residentie Bach Ensemble (Jos Vermunt)", "Combattiment consort Amsterdam (Jan Willem de Vriend)", "Vlaams Radio Koor (Erik van Nevel)", "Nederland Bach Orchestra (Pieter Jan Leusink)" etc. Also his wide interest of art led him successful collaborations with Dutch poet Anna Enquist (Leiden University/Poet in residence) and Polish actor Jerzy Zelnik. His interest in contemporary music has resulted in many premieres of new pieces, some written for him. In 2005, he got honourable mention in solist section of competition "Musica-antiqua Brugge". He is also editing unpublished viola da gamba repatoires. In 2006, he established his own publication "Dionysus Edition".
Catherine Bahn was born in New York City. She studied violoncello with Bonnie Hampton and Janos Starker. In 2001, she moved to the Netherlands where she completed her baroque cello and viola da gamba studies at the Conservatory of Utrecht with Viola de Hoog and Anneke Pols. Catherine was a recepient of the prestigous Dutch Huygens Scholarhips which enabled her to complete her Master studies in the specialization of viola bastarda and improvisation of music of the 17th century at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of the Hague. In May 2008, she directed a renaissance vocal and instrumental ensemble, dedicated to the music of "Concerto delle Dame" in the Festival Internazionale di Musica in Ferrara. In autumn 2008, Catherine participated in the "Academie Baroque Europeennee d'Ambronay" France, under the direction of Jean Tubery, performing on violone and viola da gamba. She is a member of "The Music Party", "The Scroll" (improvisation), "Prima Prattica" (Renaissance and Early Baroque) and a founding member of the ensemble "L'Áttimo Fuggente"(18th century chamber music). L'Attimo has performed in the Utrecht Festival Fringe, Barcelona Festival Fringe, Festival Brezice in Slovenia and Croatia, and in Madrid. As a performer of viola da gamba, baroque cello and violone, she has collaborated with: "Ensemble Schonbrunn"(Holland), "Akadêmia"(France), "Drottningholm Theater Orchestra" (Sweden) and La Risonanza (Italy). She performs on a G-violone, by Rene Slotboom on loan to her by the Netherlands Music Instrument Foundation (NMF).
After graduating in harpsichord at the Music Academy in Lodz, in both solo and chamber music (thesis on "Theory of Affects and rhetorical Figures in Baroque music"), Patrycja Domagalska moved to Den Haag to broaden her knowledge about Early Music Performance at the Royal Conservatory in the class of Fabio Bonizzoni and Patrick Ayrton. She received numerous scholarships participating in masterclasses such as: Ringve Museum (Norway), Academy of Early Music in Wilanow (Poland), International Handel-Akademie in Karlsruhe (Germany), and Summer Academy in Innsbruck (Austria), working with L. Stawarz, N. Parle, L.U. Mortensen, J. Christensen, K. Haugsand and W. Klosiewicz. She made a summer stage in the Academie Musicale in Villecroze (France), working with H. Dreyfus, Formation Profesionelle in Royaumont (France) with B. Rannou under direction of G. Lesne, and Orchestral workshops in the Ateleier departemental de musique ancienne de l' Aisne in France under direction of Fabio Bonizzoni and Olivia Centurioni. She is also taking a course in baroque dance with M. Angad-Gaur and collaborate with her group Nederlands Historisch Dans en Theaterensemble. Throughout her studies, she worked as a continuo player in orchestras led by: P. Beznosiuk, E. Wallfish, R. Terakado, Ch. Pluhar, performing around Holland and Belgium. Patrycja is the founder of Ensemble Barocum, with whom she performed during fringe concerts in Oude Muziek Festival Utrecht 2007/2008, and Fringe Barcelona in 2008. She performs regularly in Holland and Poland.
